2017 Toyota Corolla iM Formula Drift Car For Sale

Vintage racecars routinely pop up at auctions around the country, but it’s very rare you see one just a year or two removed from competition; however, that’s exactly what we have here.

This 2017 Toyota Corolla iM Formula Drift Car competed in the 2017 season for Papadakis Racing and was piloted by 2018 champion Fredric Aasbø. In its 2017 campaign Aasbø would drive the car to wins at Orlando and Saint-Eustache, Quebec en route to a second place overall finish. Unlike many past racecars, this 2017 Corolla iM remains race ready meeting 2019’s Formula Drift specifications. The car is said to be producing around 1,000hp and 850lb.-ft. of torque via a plethora of performance upgrades.

Via Bring A Trailer:

The car features a longitudinally mounted 2.7L turbo four sending power to the rear wheels through a G-Force 4-speed manual transmission and a carbon fiber driveshaft. Details of the build include 10.5:1 JE pistons, a BorgWarner turbocharger, AEM fuel injection, and a nitrous oxide system. The seam-welded chassis is equipped with custom RS-R suspension allowing for 65 degrees of steering angle. Takata racing seats, a removable Sparco steering wheel, and a custom instrument panel complete the race-prepped interior.

Currently listed at $46,100 the auction for this ready to race Toyota Corolla iM Formula Drift Car ends in four days.
