2020 Shelby GT500 Climbs The Hill At Goodwood

About a month ago Ford dropped the curtain on their 760hp 625lb.-ft. of torque supercharged V8 engine. Now, you can see it in action under the hood of the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 as it made the historic climb at the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed driven by Formula Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr.

While this isn’t new news, as Ford announced it at the car’s release, Ford doesn’t offer a manual transmission for the car and the reason is simple, it’s too powerful. A person wouldn’t be able to shift as fast as the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic it features so Ford ditched the option in favor of power and from the video it looks like they made the right call.
