American Cars Dominate Las Vegas Auction

They call them the “Big Three” for a reason and for Ford and Chevrolet over the weekend it was clear why. The two manufacturer’s combined to make up the top 5 cars sold at Mecum’s Las Vegas auction for a total of $677,600 with an average sale price of $135,520.

Showcasing the brands’ staying power not a single car was post 1967 and three of them actually hailed from that model year showing that the demand for American muscle of that era is still popular today. The two models not from the ’60s were both late ’50s entries and representative of the ever popular Corvette and Thunderbird.
