Aston Martin Making 25 ‘Goldfinger’ DB5 Continuation Cars

In one of the more interesting automotive partnerships we’ve seen Aston Martin has teamed up with UK based production company EON Productions to make 25 Goldfinger continuation cars.

The DB5 will be built by Aston Martin Works in Newport Pagnell, the original home of the DB5. However, here’s where it gets even cooler courtesy of EON, the company behind the Bond franchise. The cars will get the Hollywood treatment courtesy of Chris Corbould OBE, special effects supervisor on eight previous James Bond films. Chris will outfit the cars with “working gadgets,” a skill he undoubtedly picked up working with the special effects department on 14 Bond movies.

If you’re one of the fortunate 25 you will need to wait until 2020 when delivery begins, but there will in fact be 28 built. An additional two distributed to both Aston Martin and EON and the third to auction for charity.
