Battista Hypercar Takes Over New York In North America Debut

Say what you want about electric cars, but they’re moving fast… into production and on the road. The Battista Hypercar made it’s North American debut yesterday as part of the New York International Auto Show festivities just one year after the car’s manufacturer Automobili Pininfarina was announced.

That’s correct, one year ago the company launched and today we have an all-new electric hypercar and this isn’t a demo. The Battista is taking orders now with an arrival date of the fall of next year and as fast as Automobili Pininfarina is moving it should come as no surprise a second car, codenamed PF1, will debut later this year at Monterey Car Week.

There flagship car, I suppose you can call it that since it’s their only car, the Battista is a missile. A 120 kWh battery powers four separate motors, one at each wheel, to a 0-60mph time of under two seconds, but what did you expect from its “targeted” 1,900hp and 1,696 lb.-ft. of torque? And competitively speaking the range of 300 miles isn’t anything too mind-blowing, but more than suitable for the type of driving the car was designed for and owners would have in mind.
