Craig Jackson Unveils Restored “Little Red”

What once was lost, now is found! Technically the 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 EXP prototype known as “Little Red” was found back in March of 2018 in a field in Texas, but that doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.

Purchased by Craig Jackson of Barrett-Jackson fame he used his annual Scottsdale auction today to unveil the restored, dare I say, holy grail! What exactly makes “Little Red” so important? Well, it’s only the second GT500 completed. It was the only GT500 coupe build by Shelby American and the only with dual-quad carburetors from the factory. Not to mention the Ford experimental car went missing in the 1960s and was somehow discovered over half a century later with the latter two decades spent entirely outdoors.
