Custom Chevy Nova Leads Record Setting Barrett-Jackson

On a weekend which saw nearly $27 million in sales and a sell through rate of 99.25% this Chevy Nova earned the title of most expensive car sold.

When looking at any Pro Touring build sheet one name is guaranteed to be peppered throughout and that’s Roadster Shop. While the famed shop didn’t build this Nova it features a number of their parts from a custom Roadster Shop Fast Track chassis to custom RS wheels. The power for this purpose built beast stems from a Chevrolet Performance LSX 454ci small block engine producing 700hp.

In attempting to breakdown the build the word “custom” quickly becomes useless as the entire car is just that inside and out. From the aforementioned chassis and wheels to interior gauges, shifter, good, camshaft, seats, paint and so on. The list is extensive and not nearly as pleasing to look at as this car.

A supernova would have been more likely than this Nova matching its build sheet’s $800,000 total, but it did bring in over a quarter-million, $275,000 to be exact and give one lucky owner a track and street ready car in mere minutes.
