Eclectic Top 5 Lead Barrett-Jackson Northeast

The top 5 crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson’s Northeast auction sound like the beginning of a bad joke when listed together, “a McLaren Roadster, Yenko Corvette and Bronco walk into a bar,” but combined the eclectic five accounted for nearly $1.2 million.

2008 MERCEDES-BENZ SLR MCLAREN ROADSTER – $280,500

Not a lot to say here, but this SLR McLaren took the top-spot primarily because at over a decade old it has just 8,256 miles on the odometer and has been garage kept its entire life.

2019 CHEVROLET CORVETTE YENKO/SC STAGE II CONVERTIBLE SERIAL #1 – $258,500

Yenko is one of the biggest names in historic muscle cars and applied to this 2019 it still continued to pull its weight. #1 of 25 this beast is powered by a 6.8-liter supercharged V8 delivering 1,000hp and 850lb.-ft. of torque.

1954 BUICK SPECIAL CUSTOM COUPE “G54” – $220,000

Powered by a Mercedes-Benz AMG 5.4-liter supercharged V8 this one-of-a-kind SEMA build is a true beauty capable of an estimated 530hp.

1969 FORD BRONCO CUSTOM SUV – $203,500

Restored and customized Broncos are going to become more and more prevalent as we’re on the verge of the newest’s release, but this one will be hard to top. Having undergone a frame-off restoration it now features a Ford Racing 5-liter Coyote V8 and all the modern amenities of a current restomod.

1967 FORD MUSTANG ELEANOR TRIBUTE EDITION – $187,000

The number five spot was news to me as I didn’t know officially licensed Gone in 60 Seconds tributes were a thing, but they are and they’re apparently quite desirable. The updated take on a classic features a Ford 5-liter crate motor and Holley Sniper fuel injection.
