Fernando Alonso Goes Hard Into Walls At Indy 500 Practice

It was a sad test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for former Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso. Back behind the wheel of his McLaren car for his first race since his debut at the Indy 500 two years ago, Alonso would go hard into the wall during the 2nd day of practice.

Given the main event is still 10 days away, this won’t impact his chances of claiming motorsports Triple Crown: Le Mans, Indy 500 and F1’s Monaco GP. Alonso is just one Indy win shy of becoming the only driver to win this title and become only the second driver to ever do so joining Britain’s Graham Hill.
