Ferrari Unveils New F8 Tributo To The World

In advance of its public debut March 5th at the prestigious Geneva Motor Show Ferrari has dropped their latest creation, the Ferrari F8 Tributo.

The mid-rear-engined car will replace the 488 GTB in the prancing horse stable and in doing so be Ferrari’s most powerful V8 (non-special series car) in history. The Tributo’s power comes from the brand’s 3902 cc V8 which has won “Best Engine” at the International Engine of the Year awards three years running and just last year also awarded best engine of the last 20 years. Delivering 720hp and 568lb.-ft. of torque the Tributo also comes in 88-pounds lighter than the GTB it is replacing.

Like every Ferrari the Tributo’s design stems from the track with performance in mind. Elements like the new LED headlights may look cool and cosmetic only, but like most the design elements they serve a dual purpose, to allow for new brake cooling intakes. The car is full of Easter eggs like that, if you will, including a nod to the famous F40 with the Lexan rear screen showcasing the engine.

All these elements combine to give the car a 211mph top-speed, 2.9-second 0-62mph time and 7.8-second 0-120mph.
