Final C7 Corvette Sells For Nearly $3 Million

First things first, the winning bid was $2.7 million, but frankly if you got that much money it’s practically $3 million. The same way if you and I were holding $2.70 in our pockets we’re bragging that it’s a whopping $3.

So, what does $2.7 million get you? Well, the final production Chevrolet Corvette which is a black with Adrenaline Red Z06 coupe. The car will feature the 3LZ trim package, but more than anything it’s what it under the hood that makes this ‘Vette ripe for collectors. Featuring a 6.2-liter LT4 supercharged V8 making 650hp the engine setup is not unique to this specific ‘Vette, but if all goes the way things are expected with the C8 being mid-engine then this stands to be the last Corvette ever with an internal combustion engine up front.

That alone could warrant the hefty hammer price, but this was also a charity auction which we know often sends the sale price significantly higher. 100% of the proceeds of this sale are benefiting the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation Smart Homes Program, a charity that supports our first responders and injured service members.

It will be interesting to not only see the C8 when it is revealed, the almost certain shift to electric Corvettes in the near future and the sale of this car the next time around. For the latter will give us a better idea of what the market is willing to pay for possibly the final front ICE ‘Vette ever.
