Newly Transformed Chevy 3100 Seeks New Home

Jay Z once rapped, “on to the next… Somebody bring me back some money please” and it perfectly incapsulates the sale of this 1959 Chevrolet 3100 which was completed just this past January yet crosses the block next month at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach.

The frame-off “transformation” rather than restoration as the listing accurately notes as this Apache short-bed was transformed from classic pickup to a hot ticket restomod. Off the bat you’ll notice the House of Kolor Sunset Pearl Orange paint and while an eye catching paint job is not a pre-requisite of a restomod it’s certainly a trend you’re seeing more and more of; however, what’s under the hood is a near staple of this stile of restoration. The ’59 features an LS engine with FiTech fuel injection and a 4L60E transmission. Additional modern performance upgrades like a custom exhaust, new suspension and PP power 4-wheel disc brakes help round out the truck’s transformation.

Matching the House of Kolor paint cosmetically is a new wood bed, black painted frame, chrome grille and LED lights all making sure your head turns when this classic Chevy passes. And pass it will, onto a new owner Saturday, April 13th when it crosses the block at Barrett with no reserve.
