Pair Of Ponies Headlining Ford’s SEMA Display

If you don’t know what SEMA is, how did you get here? Are you lost? Do you need our assistance?

For everyone else you know the annual show begins next week and per tradition everyone begins teasing and highlighting their SEMA builds in the days prior. Ford is no exception to this ritual releasing the renderings and some of the info on a pair of Mustangs that will be front and center for them.

California Pony Cars Ford Mustang GT Fastback

Starting with a 2019 Ford Mustang GT the car features a 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 paired with a Ford Performance Supercharger helping the car over that 700+hp mark which seems to be the norm these days. The car has been lowered vis Ford Performance springs and rides on Triumph Performance wheels wrapped with TOYO Proxes T1R tires.

The exterior of the ‘Stang has so many custom California Pony Car parts that it’s best to just let them list them and then take a deep breath once you finish running through them: “hood, decklid, side skirts, grille, front chin spoiler, rear diffuser and wing with wicker bill, rear blackout panel, mirror covers, wheel arches, front bumper air duct panels and aluminum splitter kit.”

Goodguys Rod & Custom Association Ford Mustang Convertible

No car at SEMA is something you see everyday, but the Goodguys Rod and Custom Association Mustang ensured that by choosing this Mustang. What’s so unique about this Mustang you wonder, well, to start it’s a 2020 convertible which is significantly more rare on the custom scene. Additionally, the Mustang features the 2.3-liter High Output EcoBoost engine which will rub some Mustang purists wrong.

Both cars will be on display at Ford’s SEMA exhibit which when combined with their Ford Out Front initiative is the largest OEM exhibit at the 2019 SEMA show.
