Petersen Museum Goes Full Hot Rod

Museums aren’t just for stuffy people or walking around saying, “I could do that.” In fact, if you walk around the Petersen Automotive Museum and say once that you could do that, please, send us your resume.

The latest exhibit set to open at the acclaimed Los Angeles museum is a collection of ten incredible hot rods. And if you’re thinking to yourself that this collection looks pretty metal, it’s for good reason. The cars on display all belong to Metallica co-founder and singer/guitarist James Hetfield.¬†Reclaimed Rust: The James Hetfield Collection¬†will open with a sold out event on January 30 where 56-year-old Hetfield will be on hand for a “fireside chat” and auction of some of his guitars. The exhibit will then open to the public on February 1st and also include rock memorabilia alongside the incredible display of hot rods.
