Porsche Debuts Brands’ First Fully-Electric Sports Car

If I were a betting man, I’d bet you’re gonna be seeing a lot of the new Porsche Taycan. It took decades for Porsche to deviate into a new segment, but then they launched the Cayenne and seemingly overnight the brand had the Macan crossover and four-door Panamera. Now, they’ve launched their Panamera-esque, albeit all-electric, Taycan.

The flagship model of the Taycan will be the Turbo S which will produce up to 560kW which is about 750hp which will be good enough for a 0-100km/h run of 2.8-seconds. The lesser powered Turbo is no slouch either with 500kW (671hp) and a 0-100km/h time of 3.12-seconds. The cars carry a range of 256 and 280 miles, respectively and are both governed to 162mph.

Following its simultaneous debut today in North America, Europe and Asia, the Taycan is now available for order.
