Restored Pantera Hits Auction Block This Weekend

There are some cars that have become in a sense unofficial mascots of Gas Monkey Garage and the DeTomaso Pantera is one of them. Having been featured on Fast N’ Loud twice, once in the Aaron-era and once after-Aaron the car, the car has seen plenty of screen time and garnered plenty of fans through the years. This weekend a 1973 DeTomaso Pantera will cross the block at Mecum’s Louisville auction.

This car is one of just 7,260 Panteras ever built and has since been built a second time having undergone a ground up restoration. The car now features a plethora of new additions, including: cooling system, radiator, stainless pipes, Green stripe hoses, wiring and air conditioning. However, more importantly the car’s 351cu.-in. Ford Cleveland V8 engine has been entirely rebuilt as well. This Pantera variant features the Hall Pantera GTS kit which added a hood, wing, flares and wheels making it even more rare.

On the west coast since 1998 this Pantera will make the trek east this weekend where it will be auctioned off in Louisville, KY.
