Richard Bringing YelLOWstone C20 To Barrett This Week [Updated]

If you’re in the market for a Chevrolet C platform truck their is perhaps no one you’d want one from more than the host of a show called C10 Nation. That’s exactly what you see here, a 1973 Chevrolet C20 turned camper by C10 Nation host Ronnie Wetch. However, the star power doesn’t stop there. The truck’s current owner is no other than Gas Monkey’s own Richard Rawlings who is bringing it to auction at this week’s Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale.

Affectionately known as YelLOWstone, which can speculate is do in part to its low nature, color and the national park, this C20 isn’t just a 1973 truck, but a period correct camper. Atop the bed is a 1972 model camper which features an interior matched to the exterior color and working appliances. The truck itself is Cheyenne Super 3+3 crew cab which is extra noteworthy at 1973 was the first year that Chevrolet was producing the crew cab. Under the hood is a  454cu.-in. V8  with a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission. When possible Ronnie used as many original parts as possible, but did upgrade it with a set of RideTech single adjustable monotube shock absorbers for ride quality.

On the inside of the truck some touches of modern were necessary for those long drives from campground to campground. Ronnie outfitted YelLOWstone with Vintage Air, Dakota Digital gauges, and aKicker stereo system and a slew of speakers.

Update: YelLOWstone has hammered at Barrett-Jackson for $15,000.
