Stunning Chevelle Restomod Coming To Barrett This Weekend

The Chevrolet Chevelle debuted with the 1964 model year and by the release of the second-generation in 1968 it was already being billed as “America’s most popular mid-size car.” Through the years the popularity of the Chevelle has remained finding second lives via restoration and restomods, this 1970 is a perfect example of the latter.

This updated take on the classic muscle car now features a 376cu.-in. Chevy LS3 producing 480hp with L780 6-speed automatic. The Chevelle rides on a Schwartz Performing race chassis with a RideTech Shockwave air-ride system combining for a smooth ride. The exterior features black paint with Kindig-It shaved door handles and iconic red racing stripes matching the Red Lipstick leather interior made from seven hides. Additionally, the interior features a keyless steering column, Vintage Air and an 8-speaker Pioneer sound system.

A fine example of modern technology combined with classic styling this Chevy Chevelle is a near perfect example of restomod styling that is popping up more and more on the auction scene. This ’70 will cross the block this weekend at Barrett-Jackson’s Palm Beach, FL auction.
