Three Dale Earnhardt Driven NASCAR Cars For Sale

I can remember where I was in when Dale Earnhardt died and when 9/11 occurred and I have never forgotten either. In fact, it was Dale’s death which drove me deeper into NASCAR and as a fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr. As the sport’s most popular driver year after year it was obvious that I wasn’t alone in turning to Dale Jr. following Seniors death and for those who still long for the glory days of NASCAR look no further than “A Collection Devoted to Dale Earnhardt.

The collection which is so on the nose named it’s almost frustrating features numerous cars raced by Senior and a couple by Dale Jr. for good measure.

My personal favorite of the three, due to its Day’s of Thunder vibe, is this 1989 Lumina that was setup specifically for road courses by his Richard Childress Racing team. The unrestored car was raced by Dale at both Watkins Glen and Sonoma road course races. Estimated at $75,000 – $125,000.

Orange! For The Intimidator!? That’s right, but just for one race at Charlotte during the 1997 race in which he would drive this 1993 Monte Carlo to a fourth place finish. Estimated $75,000 – $125,000.

The most prestigious of the three is this 1994 Chevrolet Lumina. In the iconic black GM Goodwrench livery Dale would pilot this car to two wins, two seconds and two thirds on his way to a record-tying seventh championship he would clinch with one of those second place finishes at Atlanta. Estimated $200,000 – $300,000.

These three, along with a pair of Dale Jr.’s and a whole mess of other cars and pace cars will be offered at the Mecum Phoenix-Glendale option beginning tomorrow through Sunday .
