Trio Of Corvettes Lead Day 1 Of Dallas Auction

While the talk around the garage this week may have been a trio of Dodge Challengers, things were different down the road at Mecum’s Dallas auction where three Chevrolet Corvettes led the first day of auction.

Setting the point at number one was this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette coupe. Featuring a number matching 327 with 300hp and 64,688 actual miles it sold for $74,800.

In second place bringing in $71,500 was this 1960 Corvette convertible. One of 1,211 with the dual quad 283cu.-in. engine, this 245hp classic exceeded estimates by 20-30,000 dollars.

Rounding out he top 3 is this 1963 Split Window. Having undergone a body-off restoration it features a 327cu.-in. V8 with 4-speed transmission. It too sold for over $70,000 at a gavel price of $70,400.
